The piece in short
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 207 × 301 cm. That is roughly 6.23 m² of floor, about 6.8' × 9.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
How it reads
It is catalogued under red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
