Overview
Origin Iran, format 253 × 338 cm — a Tabriz made entirely by hand. It covers approximately 8.55 m², or 8.3' × 11.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
