Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 66 × 89 cm. It covers approximately 0.59 m², or 2.2' × 2.9'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Where it fits
A small format, at home in a hallway, beside a bed, or in front of a bench.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is multicolour. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
