About this rug
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 680 × 85 cm. It covers approximately 5.78 m², or 22.3' × 2.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as approx. 10 mm. Weight is given as approx. 12 kg.

Large enough to hold a full seating group.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.

Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. Being recent, the pile shows little wear and holds its full height.
