About this rug
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 86 × 50 cm. The covered area is about 0.43 m² (2.8' × 1.6'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
The pile is wool, silk, on a warp of cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 2 kg.
