About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Farahan, Sarouk of 286 × 400 cm. The covered area is about 11.44 m² (9.4' × 13.1'). Sarouk rugs are known for dense knotting and floral motifs.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Size and placement
A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as red and orange. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
