Overview
A Gabbeh from Iran, measuring 160 × 202 cm. It covers approximately 3.23 m², or 5.2' × 6.6'. Gabbeh rugs favour simple, open designs and a thick pile.
What it is made of
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Size and placement
At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
