Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Hamadan of 62 × 99 cm. It covers approximately 0.61 m², or 2' × 3.2'. Hamadan rugs are typically sturdy and geometrically patterned.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A small format, at home in a hallway, beside a bed, or in front of a bench.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
