Origin Iran, format 305 × 405 cm — a Isfahan made entirely by hand. That is roughly 12.35 m² of floor, about 10' × 13.3'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.

What it is made of

Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. It is entirely hand-knotted.

Size and placement

The rug is rectangular. At this size the rug defines the room rather than accenting it.

Fineness of the knotting

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.

On the colourway

The stated colourway is red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
