About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 200 × 300 cm. That is roughly 6 m² of floor, about 6.6' × 9.8'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. Construction method: hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
