Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 60 × 40 cm. That is roughly 0.24 m² of floor, about 2' × 1.3'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as Normal.

The rug is rectangular. A small format, at home in a hallway, beside a bed, or in front of a bench.

The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.

The stated colourway is multicolour. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
