At a glance
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 82 × 124 cm. That is roughly 1.02 m² of floor, about 2.7' × 4.1'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Construction: 100% new wool in the pile over a 100% cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². Very fine knotting of this kind takes many times the working hours and shows correspondingly precise pattern work.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
