About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 93 × 119 cm. The covered area is about 1.11 m² (3.1' × 3.9'). Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. Small enough to sit in front of a dresser or just inside a door.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 500,000–599,999 knots/m². A knot count at this level belongs to the upper quality class of handmade rugs.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under blue / Türkis. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
