About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Sarouk of 424 × 76 cm. The covered area is about 3.22 m² (13.9' × 2.5'). Sarouk rugs are known for dense knotting and floral motifs.
Construction
Pile material is given as wool, warp as cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as approx. 12 kg.
Size and placement
Large enough to hold a full seating group.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is blue / Türkis. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Age
Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. As a contemporary piece the pile is still even and largely unwalked.
