About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Shiraz of 175 × 285 cm. It covers approximately 4.99 m², or 5.7' × 9.4'. Shiraz rugs come from a nomadic weaving tradition.
Construction
The pile is 100% new wool, on a warp of 100% cotton. Construction method: hand-knotted.
Format and use
A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². In the mid range the pattern stays clearly legible without making the rug delicate.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
