Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Isfahan of 80 × 128 cm. It covers approximately 1.02 m², or 2.6' × 4.2'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
Construction
The pile is 100% Schurwolle mit Seide, on a warp of 100% silk. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. At this size it works as an entryway mat or a bedside rug.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 800,000–899,999 knots/m². A knot count at this level belongs to the upper quality class of handmade rugs.
On the colourway
The stated colourway is multicolour. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
