Hand-knotted in Iran: a Moud of 142 × 220 cm. That is roughly 3.12 m² of floor, about 4.7' × 7.2'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.

The rug is rectangular. At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
It is catalogued under red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
