Hand-knotted in Iran: a Moud of 147 × 99 cm. That is roughly 1.46 m² of floor, about 4.8' × 3.2'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Materials and construction
Construction: wool, silk in the pile over a cotton foundation. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 6 kg.

The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as Weiß / beige. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
