Overview
Origin Iran, format 400 × 295 cm — a Moud made entirely by hand. That is roughly 11.8 m² of floor, about 13.1' × 9.7'. Moud rugs are known for their fine Herati pattern.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as wool, silk, warp as cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 35 kg.

The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. Silk takes light differently from wool, so the same area can look pale from one side and deep from the other.
Condition
Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. Being recent, the pile shows little wear and holds its full height.
