About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 212 × 137 cm. It covers approximately 2.9 m², or 7' × 4.5'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
Materials and construction
Pile material is given as wool, silk, warp as cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted. Weight is given as approx. 7 kg.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
The stated colourway is Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
