Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Nain of 365 × 248 cm. It covers approximately 9.05 m², or 12' × 8.1'. Nain rugs are traditionally finely knotted, with pale ivory and blue palettes.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as approx. 8 mm. Weight is given as ap. 26 kg.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.

The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as blue / Türkis. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
