Overview
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 102 × 159 cm. That is roughly 1.62 m² of floor, about 3.3' × 5.2'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Pile material is given as 100% silk, warp as 100% cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout.
Format and use
A format for a smaller room, or the area directly in front of a sofa.
On the colourway
It is catalogued under red and orange. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
