The piece in short
This Tabriz comes from Iran and measures 203 × 155 cm. That is roughly 3.15 m² of floor, about 6.7' × 5.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
Construction
Pile material is given as wool, warp as cotton. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Weight is given as ap. 8 kg.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A size where sofa and armchairs can rest their front legs on the rug.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 400,000–499,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
How it reads
It is catalogued under Weiß / beige. Handmade rugs always show slight colour shifts from knot to knot — that is a mark of hand work, not a defect.
Condition
Stated age: contemporary, 0–20 years old. As a contemporary piece the pile is still even and largely unwalked.
