About this rug
A Tabriz from Iran, measuring 206 × 299 cm. That is roughly 6.16 m² of floor, about 6.8' × 9.8'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Pile material is given as 100% new wool, warp as 100% cotton. It is entirely hand-knotted.
Where it fits
At this size it anchors a living room as the central surface.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 200,000–299,999 knots/m². This knot density balances pattern definition against hard-wearing construction.
On the colourway
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
