About this rug
This Tabriz comes from China and measures 264 × 339 cm. That is roughly 8.95 m² of floor, about 8.7' × 11.1'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 7-10mm.

The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as multicolour. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
