Hand-knotted in India: a Tabriz of 249 × 343 cm. It covers approximately 8.54 m², or 8.2' × 11.3'. Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. It is entirely hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.
Where it fits
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
On the knot count
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². Knotting at this density allows detailed drawing and soft transitions between colours.
How it reads
Colour is recorded as multicolour. Depending on the light and the direction you look from, the surface reads lighter or darker — a property of every handmade rug.
