About this rug
Hand-knotted in Iran: a Tabriz of 248 × 354 cm. The covered area is about 8.78 m² (8.1' × 11.6'). Tabriz is one of the oldest and most important weaving centres in Persia.
What it is made of
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. The rug was hand-knotted throughout. Pile height is given as 5-7mm.
Format and use
The rug is rectangular. A large format for open-plan rooms or formal reception spaces.
Knot density and quality
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
