Overview
Hand-knotted in India: a Isfahan of 250 × 296 cm. It covers approximately 7.4 m², or 8.2' × 9.7'. Isfahan has stood for exceptionally fine knotting for centuries.
Construction
Stated material: cotton warp, new wool. Construction method: hand-knotted. Pile height is given as 10-12mm.
Size and placement
The rug is rectangular. A format for large rooms, with space for an entire seating arrangement.
Fineness of the knotting
The stated knot density is 300,000–399,999 knots/m². At this density even small-scale motifs can be worked out cleanly.
Colour and appearance
Colour is recorded as red and orange. With traditionally dyed wool, small variations of tone within one field are normal.
